Founded in 2015, Mission Paws’ible is a not-for-profit organization. They work towards giving new chances for abandoned animals to have better lives. Its founder and director, Prue Barber of Australian descent, fell in love with Bali’s charm and felt something more for stray animals wanting a better chance at life. Hence, in her spare time, she founded Mission Paws’ible and continues to lead the organization up until today.
Mission Statement and Driving Force
This or organization’s driving force is to achieve its goal of rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing animals left in limbo. The process seems easy, but the work that goes along with it requires commitment and compassion. However, having these traits inherent in their team makes the whole experience enjoyable.
So how does it work? To put it simply, any of our furry friends in need brought to the facility for medical intervention, like vaccination and sterilization. This new-found pet is temporarily taken care of and/or fostered in temporary homes facilitated by Mission Paws’ible until they find their new forever paw-mily.
On Sustainability – Meaningful Connections with Trusted Networks
Understanding the weight of this initiative’s responsibility, Mission Paws’ible innovated a sustainable mechanism to continue this advocacy. For example, they partnered with reputable veterinary doctors and clinics for discounted services on vaccination, sterilization, and even cure for certain diseases. They also spearheaded fundraising-centered campaigns to gather funds for these rescued animals. Surprisingly, since the start of this program, they received thousands of dollars as donations, resulting in hundreds of animals saved.
The team also launched an online store that sells pet accessories handmade in Bali. 100% of the profit goes directly to sustain rescued animals’ needs. This has created the Circle of Giving. That is, when you buy pet accessories from them, you help animals in need. You also support the local community through employment. Win-win, as they say!
Great initiatives like these do not deserve to be kept in hiding. Thus, Mission Paws’ible continues to build meaningful connections with influencers, vloggers, and media personalities or institutions to help spread the good word. Besides that, they also teamed up with other registered animal welfare charities to help them fight the good fight, like Yayasan Proyek Peduli, a registered and certified Indonesian charity focusing on animal and human welfare education, activation, and empowerment of the local community.
Another ally is the Global Canine Cavalry, with its mission to reduce senseless killings of canines by strengthening their bond with humanity. And let’s not forget the Bali Pet Crusaders, a registered Australian charity focusing on controlling the dog and cats population through their sterilization program.
Be Part of the Community Effecting Remarkable Solutions
There are many ways to be part of Mission Paws’ible’s noble advocacy. One, you may adopt a rescued animal and give that pet a new chance in life. If you’re not in Bali, you may donate any amount you can. Your donation, may it be as little or as much, will surely go a long way into providing hope to these distressed animals. Or, you may show your support by letting other people know about this or just by being a friend to every animal you meet in the street.
It’s More Than An Organization – It’s A Community
It’s true when they say that it takes an entire community to rebuild and uphold care and compassion. With Mission Paws’ible, we foresee a future. And that is animals no longer roaming around, waiting for someone to call them family while living day by day to survive. By educating and activating the very people in the same community, we believe that Mission Paws’ible can solidify the bond between animals and the human race. And we, at Aureum Hospitality Advisers, are stoked that they trust us with their website maintenance!
